FRC Action Commends House, Urges Senate to Take Up 'Cut, Cap, and Balance'

Family Research Council Action (FRC Action) praised the U.S. House of Representatives for passing H.R. 2560, the "Cut, Cap, and Balance" bill and urged the U.S. Senate to take up the fiscally responsible legislation.

FRC Action President Tony Perkins made the following comments about the bill's passage:

"Today's passage of 'Cut, Cap, and Balance' is the first step toward putting America back on a financially stable path. We have a long way to go, but the Members of Congress who voted to pass the bill know that our rising debt can no longer be ignored, and putting further debt on future generations is both immoral and unsustainable.

"FRC Action commends congressional leaders like U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) who have put fiscal sanity and this nation's long-term interests ahead of political games in an effort to stabilize and grow our economy.

"We call on the U.S. Senate to take up and pass the 'Cut, Cap, and Balance' bill, and send it to President Obama as quickly as possible. It is a moral imperative that our nation returns to limits on spending and a balanced budget, so that future generations are not enslaved to our generations' debt," concluded Perkins.
