Poll on the Auto Bailout from American Solutions

As you may know, the Big Three were back on Capitol Hill today to ask for a $34 billion bailout.
Times are tough right now, and we need the best solutions to get the economy back on the right track. We want to know what the American Solutions community thinks about the auto bailout.
Please take a moment to vote in this online poll and leave us your comments.

Gov. Sarah Palin to speak at CPAC 2009

Rec'd this comment from CPAC Directors on a previous post and wanted to make sure you all knew so you won't bombard them with emails!!!

"Gov. Sarah Palin is already a confirmed speaker for CPAC 2009. You can register to attend at www.cpac.org."

I hope everyone that is able will register and attend, it's going to be a GREAT line up of speakers and well worth attending.

(p.s., I learned my lesson, I should sent them an email asking if she was on the agenda before posting. I did go to the website to see if I could find speakers and didn't see listing for this year yet.)

Woo hoo!!! We're bein' talked about...

We're famous (cough, cough)... we made The FundamenaList / The American Prospect, "Liberal Intelligence"...

Sorry, I've never heard of it, but they've heard about us... I guess now we're all going to have a lot more libs popping onto our blogs writing nasty comments... gotta tell you, there are some pretty bad-talkin' folks on the liberal side... things sure have changed since the free-speech, brotherly love days...

Just thought I'd warn you since the link they used in their article goes directly to our list of blogs on the main website. Put on your battle gear and be prepared to delete comments. I would suggest that ALL of our blogs turn on "comment moderation" which allows you to preview comments before posting. (Blogger users: I'll tell you how at the end of this blog)

http://www.prospect.org/cs/articles?article=the_fundamentalist_120308

Here's what they wrote:

4. Palin's Recruiters Plot 2012 Run.

A recent Gallup poll showed that 67 percent of Republicans want Palin to run for president in 2012, with Romney (62 percent) and Huckabee (61 percent) her closest competitors.

Among the Palin faithful is Stephen Maloney, a Pennsylvania-based activist who says he's devoting himself to recruiting Sarah Palin to run for president in 2012 through his new blog, where he writes that "a key for Gov. Palin in getting elected in 2012 is to increase her appeal to moderate and independent voters. Bloggers can help her do [this] by emphasizing ? her moderation and her independence. Sounds simple, right? Well, it is." It is? Maloney doesn't tell us how.

Maloney joins Team Sarah, a coalition of 60,000 women launched by the anti-abortion group the Susan B. Anthony List, an early booster of Palin's vice-presidential run, and the Read My Lipstick network and its affiliated bloggers.

How to turn on Comment Moderation in Blogger (blogspot)

- click on "settings" under the title of your blog on the Dashboard
- click on "Comments"
- scan down to "Comment Moderation" and click "always"
--- a window will open where you can put in an email address; any comments left on your blog will be sent to that email address so you can approve prior to posting (or delete if you choose)

Note: at the top there's a place for you to choose "Who can comment?". I usually keep it on anonymous because, much as I dislike chickens who won't stand behind their comments, some people really do have good reason not to want their name left on blogs. If you have comment moderation turned on it's no biggie to allow anyone to comment. However, you may want to click on any of the other options.

Note 2: I highly recommend going through the settings options and looking to see if there are other things you'd like to consider doing. I have it set up so anytime something is posted on my blogs, I get an email. That could save you if someone hacks your blog somehow, which has happened.

Two great new members!

I love the creativity many of you have when naming your blogs!

1. Pitbulls with Lipstick - http://pitbullswithlipstick.blogspot.com/

Katy (Pitbulls) is new to blogging but I can tell she's going to be great! I'm excited about having her as a new member and think you will be too when you read her first blog.

2. Red Virginia Conservative Railroad - http://redvirginiarailroad.blogspot.com/

For those of you who aren't familiar with Twitter, it's something I'd suggest we all learn about. Ken has a good post and link on his Railroad blog regarding Twitter.

Here's a message from Ken that I think is well worth passing along:

CPAC is going to have a Conservative Convention in February (Washington DC) with the normal conservative brain train (Newt, Huckabee, Romney, etc.). I am requesting everyone email CPAC to request Governor Sarah Palin also be included in the speakers list. We shouldn't let others decide our fate ;-) Please help get Governor Sarah Palin as a guest speaker for the February CPAC 2009.

Yet another new member today... and a blog you just have to read!

I was checking out our newest member's blog to make sure it had the blogroll and that it "fit" our parameters... and found a real kicker of a post that you guys MUST read! It's scary, it's what we probably have to expect to have happen across the country, it's scary, did I say it's scary???

Our newest very welcome member is Sarah's Full Court Press (http://hockey2k5susa.blogspot.com/). Here's the blog post (you'll have to click the link or visit the site to see the whole thing):

Ready for Obama Day?
As if it weren't enough for federal workers to already have plenty-a-holiday like Memorial Day or Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we can go ahead and add another one to the list - that's right - it's Barack Obama Day. Why, you ask? How can this be? He's not even the President until January 20th! Well, rest assured, it may just be the first of many special days to be named for the One. Maybe we'll be adding his birthday to Washington and Lincoln's so as not to appear racist or culturally insensitive. Gimme a break, people.... Click the title or visit the blog to read the rest.

How to become a member of the Read My Lipstick Network

We post a bit of info at the top of our main blog page and on our website, but often-times people come directly to the post and they miss the info. I thought I'd include the info here on occasion so those who are interested in joining know the tiny little bit we ask of members. Here's the message we send when someone asks about membership (some of our older blog members may want to read it, too, since we've added some new features):

We’re excited to have you as a new member to the Read My Lipstick Network (RMLN)!

Please visit this link: http://rmlnblogroll.blogspot.com/, copy the code and place it on your sidebar (if you haven’t already done so). It is a self-updating blogroll with a list of all current members. Anytime we add a new member it will automatically show on the list.

If your blog doesn’t accept / allow blogroll codes, please add the attached RMLN logo to your sidebar or other prominently visible place and link it to: http://readmylipstick.com). The larger logo works great on the sidebar of most blogs. We've included a smaller one just in case you'd like to have one elsewhere. We would appreciate it if you would add the member blogs and websites to your link list or favorite list!

Send us an email when you’ve posted the blogroll or added the logo link. If we haven’t already done so, we’ll check out your blog and of it meets our guidelines, we’ll get your blog added! (If for some reason we can’t add your blog, we’ll let you know, and let you know why, too!)

We promote all of our members to others and encourage you to “follow” and / or subscribe to as many member blogs and websites as you possibly can and they will do the same for your blog or website.

We focus on supporting conservative views, family values, and promoting conservative precepts. With the new White House and major shift in our political makeup, we’re really going to be needed as most of us will be working to support Sarah Palin for 2012 and all of us will be doing everything we can to help preserve our values and freedoms.

The RMLN is a member of all the “Suggested sites and other groups to join” sites listed below. We encourage you to join (please let them know you’re with the RMLN!).

One fun thing we’d like to ask you to do is visit: http://www.readmylipsticknetwork.com/map/map.htm and put a pin in the map so we know where you’re located! Feel free to add a photo or comment, too.

We have a Facebook page, our “name” is Read M Lipstick if you’d like to find us! We also have a MySpace page, http://www.myspace.com/readmylipstick

***One more thing we’d appreciate – please sign up on the RMLN blog (http://readmylipstick.blogspot.com) or on www.readmylipsticknetwork.com for email notification when we post a message.*** That’s how we’ll notify you when another member has joined so you can update other lists, check out their blogs and maybe even comment on them! If you’re on Blogger or have the ability to “follow” the blog, that will work just as well. We don’t send out many updates, but we do want you to know when we add a new blog or when major changes are getting ready to happen. On occasion we may send out an email but we’ll try not to do it very often.

If you have any questions about any of the above send us an email and we’ll try to do better at explaining (chances are we’ll just confuse you more ;-)! Thanks for supporting the values that our country was built upon and those that make us the best place in the world to live!

Update on Obama's Birth Certificate...

From Linda Shaw:

December 3, 2008

Hawaii Hospital: Obama not born here!

Honolulu, HI -- Questions about where Barack Obama was born and if he is eligible to become President are reaching fever pitch after every hospital in Honolulu, HI has denied he was born in any of them!

... According to investigative efforts between November 20 and December 2, the following Hospitals have denied Barack Obama was born at their facility and have further denied his mother was ever a patient:

The Queen’s Medical Center - Honolulu, Hawaii Obama claims as his birth hospital
Kapi’ olani Medical Center Obama’s sister claims Barack Obama born here
Honolulu Shriners Hospital Never a patient Mom or Obama
Straub Clinic & Hospital Never a patient Mom or Obama
Hawaii Health Systems Corporation - Honolulu, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
Cancer Institute of Maui - Wailuku, Hawaii No Comment ???
Kuakini Hospital - Honolulu, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific - Honolulu, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii - Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
Straub Heatlh - Honolulu, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
Tripler Medical Center - Honolulu, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
Wahiawa General Hospital - Wahiawa, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama
Wilcox Memorial Hospital - Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii Never a patient Mom or Obama

We were pretty detailed in our calls. You can look at every hospital here and call any of them. You can file freedom of information act requests or speak to the media relations people at every hospital. Do everything and anything you wish. Barack Obama was never born in a hospital in Hawaii as claimed.

AP, Fox, etc. are saying Saxby WINS!!!

Great news! Now if Coleman can squeak by we'll at least be able to stop some of the nonsense that's getting ready to happen.

And, more importantly, my phone won't be clogged with robo calls and my mail volume will go back to normal...

Update on Saxby Chambliss / GA race

Right now 10% of the vote counted and Saxby is up with 66.1%.

Atlanta and Dekalb will make it a much closer race I'd think, I doubt they've been counted. It took them days to tally Fulton County (Atlanta) in the Presidential election.

New member! The Admonition

I'd like to welcome The Admonition (http://www.theadmonition.com/) to our list of blog members! It's a fairly new blog, but one I think you'll like. Be sure to click on "About" so you can see the little cutey who was not a happy camper when the photo was snapped! I'm with Shannon on the caption!

------

Blogroll is STILL down. I'm STILL out trying to find another option. This has gone on long enough. I haven't even been able to find a paying choice. One thing I'm going to do, in addition to listing your blogs on the main website (www.readmylipsticknetwork.com), is to list them on the sidebar of this blog site, plus I'm going to add them to our Ning site (which I'll admit I haven't been pushing much, nor do I go check it often...), and I'm going to see if there's some way to add them to our MySpace and Facebook pages. Not sure if those last few are possible, but I'm going to do it if it is possible.

I have set up a page for almost all of our blogs on the main site. If you go and click "read our blogs" on the sidebar it'll take you to an alphabetical list of blogs. Click the link to go to "your" page. That should help you get more readership.

Some of the blogs and websites aren't set up with RSS so there's no way I can add them (yet). I should have all of the blogs / websites set up that can be set up by tomorrow. If you check back this weekend and yours doesn't have its own page, know that I can't capture you feed for one reason or another. I'll try to contact you if I can match up email addresses to blogs .

Barack Obama to buy rare £20,000 gold ring for his wife to say 'thanks for your support'

From Drudge Report / Facebook tip from Rick Moore
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1090653/Barack-Obama-buy-rare-20-000-gold-ring-wife-say-thanks-support.html

Michelle Obama is to receive this £20,000 thank you from her husband for her support during the election.

The Harmony ring is made of rhodium - the world's most expensive metal --and encrusted with diamonds. It is being hastily made by Italian designer Giovanni Bosco in time for January's inauguration ceremony.

Only about 25 tons of rhodium are mined each year, mostly in South Africa, and as a result its price is typically around £5,000 an ounce.

(That's roughly $30,000 in U.S. dollars...)

Just a comment on Sarah in Georgia today...

On the news today, in an attempt to be even-handed in their reporting, our local stations said that Sarah Palin was here campaigning for Saxby Chambliss... and that Ludicrous was here for his Democratic opponent Jim Martin.

I don't think I need to point out the obvious difference in the two candidates .

Ludicrous.

More on the Obama birth certificate issue

In the past two days I've rec'd two separate emails regarding the ongoing issue with Barack Obama's missing birth certificate. I don't understand why the guy just doesn't produce it and be done with the mess IF there's nothing to the issue. Why is he fighting it in court??? Why is this an issue for him? The first group (I believe) is raising money to hire a forensic specialist to examine the document Obama posted. I'll let you read through the following email info (separated by *** line) and then I'd encourage you to go out and do a bit of investigating for yourself. Linda Shaw, who sent the first email, has been outstanding when it comes to keeping people posted on the issue. The second I rec'd as a forward from Sparrow Girls (one of our member blogs).

***********************************************

There is going to be a full page open letter to Obama published in the Chicago Tribune on Monday 12/1 and also on Wed. 12/3. It will appear in the main news section. Then there is going to be a DC National Press Club Event on Dec 8th. This fight will go on until the birth certificate is released.

In the ad, we are asking Obama to

Quote:
immediately direct the appropriate Hawaiian officials to allow access to the vault copy of your birth certificate by our forensic scientists on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 5, 6 and 7, 2008.

See Open Letter to Obama.

Time is running out and this needs to be done.If you could put out the information on any of your groups/blogs, etc. and if you can pledge a donation, it will be appreciated. I have written Doug and Lee about using a paypal account instead of having to mail a donation in order to get the funds faster. I hope to hear back from them by tomorrow. This is the letter that is going out. I am going to send to some of the pacs. If you have suggestions as to someone to send it to, please let me know. I am also in the middle of the petition drive for the Media Reform with W.A.M. so I appreciate any help I can get.

Dear…..,

I am contacting you today on behalf of the Democratic Disaster Organization, a rapidly growing, successful grassroots movement, to ask you to PLEASE DONATE MONEY. We want to ensure that the Constitutional requirements to run for President are enforced. We believe that the Constitution is the foundation for all our laws: that we must be a nation ruled by law and not “Who one knows”, or “how much money I donated to a candidate” or the whims of the fleeting moment. We are engaged in a struggle to stop the destruction of our Constitutional Republic.

The 2008 election has been very troubling to me, as so much information about our President-elect has been hidden from the voters. Senator Obama’s vault birth certificate, medical, college records, etc., have NOT been made available to the people.

All other Presidential candidates made this information available.

Instead of producing his records, Mr. Obama has spent many thousands of dollars in legal fees to keep them hidden. Why? What motivation would Senator Obama have for doing this?

The mainstream media has ignored the mounting evidence questioning Mr. Obama’s qualifications under the Constitution. Further, what little that has been provided by the Obama Campaign appears to be highly suspect and questionable such as, but not limited to, the electronic Hawaiian Certificate of Live Birth that appeared on Senator Obama’s official campaign website and has been shown by a forensic scientist to be “doctored.”

Then there is the Factcheck.org’s website that makes false and misleading claims. Factcheck failed to examine the original vault copy of Senator Obama’s birth certificate; they only examined an “official copy” of a Certificate of Live Birth. Yet they claimed that the vault birth certificate was “for real.”

The FACT is that no one has had the opportunity to look at the original vault birth certificate, even the Supreme Court of the USA. There has been no team of document forensic scientists who examined the vault birth certificate for authenticity. Senator Obama has demanded that no one be allowed to look at this vault birth certificate under penalty of criminal prosecution. The ONLY way to see it is by Court Order.

The mainstream media has also ignored the numerous legal cases being filed from all over the United States asking Senator Obama to prove his eligibility for the Presidency.

I joined Democratic-Disaster to make sure the Constitution is honored. I wanted to make a difference. I hope you feel the same way. We have contacted the Electors in all the states and asked them to join us in a class action suit to determine Mr. Obama’s eligibility to be President. We have had favorable replies. The Electors have “standing” before the Courts.

1 last chance to fight for our Constitution
Posted: November 18, 20081:00 am Eastern© 2008

Former Deputy Attorney General Philip Berg filed a lawsuit addressing the citizenshipstatus of Barack Obama before the Democratic National Convention and copied Democratic Chairman Howard Dean. It should have alerted them that there was a possible problem before they selected their nominee. But that problem was ignored. Other lawsuits filed before Nov. 4 were also ignored, placing us in what could be a constitutional crisis.

The good news is the real election hasn't taken place yet. The Electoral College doesn't meet until Dec. 15. That gives us less than a month to find the answers to the looming questions regarding whether Barack Obama meets the constitutional requirements for the office of president.
The courts don't seem to be in any hurry to take up their responsibility as guardians of the Constitution, so now Congress must step in. You see, members of Congress are sworn to uphold the Constitution, and when they vote in January to confirm (or reject) the vote of the Electoral College, they can't very well do that unless they know=2 0for certain that the basic constitutional requirements for office have been met.

An ad running this week in the Washington Times Weekly asks three questions America needs to know: "Was Barack Obama really born in Kenya?" "Is he really a citizen of Indonesia?" And, "Does the Constitution still matter?"

As I wrote about last week, there are many reasons to doubt whether Barack Obama meets the requirements for the office of president. First, there's that pesky tape from Sarah Obama, Barack'sgrandmother, where she says, "I was in the delivery room in (Mombosa) Kenya when he was born Aug. 4, 1961." Secondly, there's the matter of U.S. law. If only one parent was an American citizen, as in Obama's case, the law at the time of Obama's birth required one parent to have been an American citizen for at least 10 years – five of which had to have happened after the age of 14. Since Obama's mother was only 18 at the time of Obama's birth, he would not qualify as an American citizen if his grandmother is right ab out him being born abroad.

Thirdly, there's no original birth certificate – just a "certification of live birth" posted on a website experts say is forged and altered. Fourthly, there's the issue of Indonesian citizenship, which is a prerequisite to attending school there. Add to that the fact that Obama's stepfather, Lolo Soetoro, is listed as his father on his Indonesian school records. If he had U.S. citizenship, according to Indonesian law, he would have lost it when he attended school there or if he was adopted by his stepfather as his records indicate.

As the ad proclaims, "The Constitution matters" and is still worth defending. All we are asking is that Congress takes their oath to defend it seriously. If Obama can prove he meets the basic but essential constitutional requirements, fine, he'll serve legally. But if he cannot provide simple proof, then he cannot. We're not asking for the world here, just the original birth certificate that each of us delivers when getting a passport, driver's license or Social Security card. If we can't tell the clerk at the post office to check out the digital photo of a certificate posted online, neither should the guy running for president. Members of Congress: If you have taken an oath to defend the Constitution, now's the time to keep it.

But I know the reasons for your hesitancy. I've faced them myself and have come to the conclusion that if one of our founders, Patrick Henry, could proclaim, "Give me liberty or give me death," we can face our fears and stand for the document they penned that outlines our God-given rights to freedom. What if we asked our Founding Fathers, many of whom lost everything in the battle for our nation, if they think the Constitution is still worth defending? They already answered that question with their lives.

But what about the objections?

"Obama won the popular election." So did Al Gore. But George W. Bush is still president. That's because the Electoral College decides – and in this case, it hasn't yet. In fact, the electors can't fulfill their solemn oath to uphold the Constitution unless they know the candidates meet the basic constitutional requirements for office.

"This should have happened long before now." That's true, but the cases filed before Nov. 4 were ignored by the courts, and the answers to these basic questions were never answered. There is still time for those answers since the real election has not yet happened.

"They'll be riots in the streets."This objection is much like the reaction of Kenya to Obama's candidate of choice, Raila Odinga, who incited violence and the burning of hundreds of churches (not a single mosque) when he lost the race. Obama raised a million dollars for this upstanding guy and assigned a Senate staffer to help him. To bring the violence to an end, the Kenyan government put Odinga – the guy who lost the election – in office to keep him from burning more churches. They failed the first rule of the playground: Confront the bully; don't appease him. Threats of violence must be met with fierce resistance, not appeasement.

"I better not be public on this because I'll become a target." News flash: If you believe in life, liberty and the family, you already are a target. The henchmen are selected; the gallows for our freedoms are already being built. And the only candidate in history to never move an inch to the center during the campaign has no intentions of changing his agenda of outlawing our viewpoint with the "unfairness doctrine," "thought crimes," "The Employment Non Discrimination Act" the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act and all the rest. As I wrote about in my book, "The Criminalization of Christianity" (which will surely come true if we don't act now), "Never fail to do the right thing for fear that the opposition will attack you in response. The other side can and will attack you anyway, at a time of their own choosing rather than yours, regardless of whether you act."

"We'll just beat him in four years." In four years, we won't be able to recognize what's left of our country. And if you think taking on this issue right now is hard, try doing it when our radio airwaves are shut down and our freedoms are stripped from us, as he has promised to do. And with Obama's promise to pass the so-called Freedom of Choice Act as "the first thing" he does, you can say goodbye to the notion of protecting unborn children again – and goodbye to every law in all 50 states that notifies parents, keeps our tax dollars from footing the abortion bill and prevents even a single partial-birth abortion.

"They'll say I'm a 'racist' and call it 'sour grapes.'" Our Founding Fathers faced death, we face name-calling. Right now our U.S. soldiers are being shot at for the freedoms guaranteed in our Constitution. If the Constitution isn't worth undergoing some name calling, then the oath taken to defend it means nothing.

"Somebody else will do it." They haven't. And time is running out.

"It's not my responsibility."The lower court in Philadelphia threw out Phil Berg's case (which is now before the U.S. Supreme Court) based not on the merits, but on the issue of "standing," and pointed to the need for Congress to act. If the questions of constitutionality are not met before Congress is called upon to uphold the vote of the Electoral College, they cannot fulfill their oath and duty to uphold and defend the Constitution. If we are willing to ignore the constitutional requirements for the highest office in our land, what else are we willing to forgo? That part about free speech? Freedom of the press? Freedom of religion?

"We deserve what we got."That's true, so did the people of Nineveh who asked, "Who can tell if God will turn and relent, and turn away from His fierce anger, so that we may not perish?" If you're unfamiliar with the story recorded in Jonah, God didn't give the Ninevites what they deserved; and even though the judgment was pronounced against them, when they fasted, prayed, sought God and turned from their wicked ways, God had mercy and spared them from judgment.

"It's impossible." With God, all things are possible. Eight years ago the election was called for Al Gore, and he never took office. If God is the same today as He was yesterday, He can still split the sea, raise the dead, stop the sun and reverse the results of the popular vote if the basic requirements of the Constitution are not met in the candidate.

"He's constitutionally qualified." Great. Then it won't be hard to prove it.

The Electoral College votes on Dec. 15 – we now have less than 30 days of freedom left. How will you spend it?20Will you "safely" keep quiet about our nation's most important document, or will you step forward to defend it?

There's a replica of William Wallace's sword hanging on my wall. It reminds meof his words captured in the movie "Braveheart":

William Wallace: I am William Wallace. And I see a whole army of my countrymen, here in defiance of tyranny. You've come to fight as freemen, and freemen you are. What will you do without freedom? Will you fight?

Man: No … we will run … and we will live.

William Wallace: Aye. Fight and you may die. Run and you'll live – at least a while. And, dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, just one chance, to come back here and tell our enemies, that they may take our lives, but they'll never take our freedom!

Congress, you were elected for such a time as this. Don't miss your moment in history to def end the Constitution you were sworn to uphold. Not extreme. Not fringe. Just constitutional. A thorough investigation must be conducted to ensure the basic constitutional requirements for the office of president have been met. It is not just your right – it is your duty. And you have less than 30 days to act. You have the freedom right now that you will never have again. You can fight to defend the Constitution of the United States, or you can run. As William Wallace asked, the question is: Will you fight?

Call your representative in Congress at 202-224-3121 and ask them to hold immediate congressional hearings to investigate and ensure the basic constitutional requirements for the office of president have been met.

Fast and pray.
