Democrats are eyeing the “fair tax” as a wedge issue in the 2010 elections, hoping to force Republican candidates across the country to take a stand on the conservative proposal. http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/93455-fair-tax-seen-as-wedge-to-split-gop-tea-party --- Democrats are eyeing everything as a potential to split the conservative vote. We better keep our eye on the goal, be focused on winning the trophy, and be willing to vote the big picture rather than being one-issue voters (unless it something egregious)!!! Lets get conservatives in our elected offices and then next go around work on getting even BETTER candidates. As someone commented on an earlier blog --- we should pull any new candidates voting record (as in, voted Dem, Republican or other) AND if they've been in office, also pull their votes while in office... research is EASY to do these days. It's also easy to get distorted and incomplete information from a candidates opponents so be sure NOT to take anything you read, get in the mail or see on the tube at face value. Go to the Internet and research before you accept any criticism or attack on a candidate you think is worth a potential vote.

‘Fair Tax’ seen as wedge issue to push split between Republicans, Tea Party

Back from the doctor...
Bit the bullet and went to the doctor. Good thing I did, she said I'd have gotten nothing but worse and may have landed in the hospital. If we hadn't had tickets to see Celtic Thunder tomorrow night I wouldn't have gone. So now I'm going to be miraculously better by tomorrow night! Riiiiighttttt.... even the doc laughed at that one. I'm going anyway.
Sunday there's going to be a FairTax Rally in Gwinnett County, Georgia with Mike Huckabee, Sen. Saxby Chambliss, Rep. John Linder, talk show host Neal Boortz and others. If I'm feeling up to it I may go... I'll share photos if I do get to go.
I was privileged to have a one-on-one interview with Huckabee back when he was running for President. Nice man, makes you feel like you're the only person in the room when he's talking with you.
The REAL reason I'm writing is to first say thanks to those of you who wished me good health!
And secondly, to tell you about a few new exciting (depending on how easily you get excited) things on our new website (www.readmylipsticknetwork.com).
We have a Member MAP that allows you to add your location. I thought it was a kind of cool thing to have! If you'll go to the site, click on Member Map on the sidebar, you can add your location. If you don't want to use your name please add your blog name (you can do both if you'd like).
The OTHER thing we've added is a bunch of sidebar photos and items for you to use if you'd like. We'll be adding more and more stuff so you'll want to check back. Right now we have four pages of photos and buttons. Click on Photos / Videos and you'll see the link.
Have a great weekend!!!
