More on that last post, deducting for long-term care...

I should have titled that last post "here we go again". The more I read about the hidden long-term health care plan in Obamacare, the more I'm reminded of Social Security, and other government programs that started out with "good intentions". The program is supposedly funded by deductions from paychecks, all on a sliding scale based on age. What happens when the government has a slush fund of dollars that they're supposed to save for the future? Uh, well, they can't keep their money-grubbing, gotta-have-another-government-trinket hands out of the pot. You know where this one is headed. I understand that you have to opt OUT of the program, but can't say that with absolute certainty. It could be that it's a voluntary opt in --- at least for now. Try opting out of Social Security or some of those other fun deductions from your pay check.
